Kanchanaburi Elephant Preservation Center or Old Elephant Home project was set up in May 2008 to solve the problem of homeless, injured, disabilities and deserted elephants around the country. Situated in 130 rais are at 90/9 Mu 4 Ban Nong Hoi Tambol Wang Dong, about 32 km from Mueang Kanchanaburi, it is an eco-tourist place to visit old elephants and others left and see the elephant and man to learn and live together in the natural enviroment in Kanchanaburi and having joint activities such as plant elephant, volunteer to help health care and learning the different between wild elephant and home elephant.
